Preemergence Herbicides       919-394-5095

Preemergence Herbicides are applied to the soil 2 to 4 weeks before expected weed germination. For early spring applications the best time is when soil temperatures at 4 inches deep reach 55 degrees f or just before the dogwoods bloom.

Postemergence Herbicides are effective after weeds that are actively growing. Most of the postemergence Herbicides used for control of broadleaf weeds are systemic and translocate inside the plant. Also know as a selective herbicide that kills broadleaf weeds but does not harm turfgrass. Postemergence Herbicides works best when it is sunny and temps are between 65 and 85 degrees.
